Final weekend of bus station closures in CBD
The final weekend of closures at Queen Street bus station, City Hall/King George Square station and Roma Street busway station for Brisbane Metro works will take place this weekend.
Works include hot smoke and fire testing in the Adelaide Street tunnel.
Some smoke and alarms may be observed coming from or near the Inner Northern Busway between Queen Street bus station and Roma Street busway station.
These works are essential to prepare the new Adelaide Street tunnel for bus and metro operations.
All affected bus services will be temporarily redirected to alternative street level stops nearby.
Metro services will be operated by bus replacement services.
Signage and on ground support will be in place at impacted bus stops to assist customers to their temporary alternative stops.
From the weekend of 29-31 August, weekend bus services will return to normal operations.
