Planned Burn Weller Road Park
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Weller Road Park, to the west of Marshall Road, Tarragindi, on Sunday 31 August, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding suburbs overnight and for a number of days after.
Surrounding tracks will be closed for the duration of the burn and may remain closed for up to two weeks after the burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.
Staff will also be on site on Monday to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
