Changed traffic conditions in Brisbane City for Freedom of Entry 2025

Parking and traffic changes will be in place from 7.30am to 1pm Saturday 20 September 2025 in Brisbane City due to the Freedom of Entry event.

The following roads will be fully closed from 7.30-10.30am:

  • Adelaide Street, from Macrossan Street to Edward Street
  • Queen Street, from Ann Street to Adelaide Street
  • Wharf Street, from Ann Street to Queen Street
  • Rich Lane, from Wharf Street to Adelaide Street
  • Creek Street, from Queen Street to Ann Street
  • Ely Lane from, Adelaide Street to end of street
  • Hutton Street, from Adelaide Street to end of street
  • Edward Street, from Adelaide Street to Turbot Street.

Adelaide Street, from Edward Street to George Street, will be fully closed from 7.30am to 1pm.  

Parking conditions will also temporarily change on Adelaide Street, between Macrossan Street and Edward Street, to ‘No Standing Tow Away’ between 7.30-10.30am.

Vehicles will not be able to enter or exit the QueensPlaza Car Park between 7.30-10.30am.

Police, traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.

Diversion routes will be in place, with all detours and diversions clearly signed on the day.
