Changed traffic conditions on Edward Street, Brisbane City
Traffic changes will be in place from 12am Sunday 13 September to 11.30pm Saturday 7 November 2026 on Edward Street and Turbot Street, Brisbane City, due to sewer works.
The following traffic changes will be in place during this period:
- Edward Street, northbound road closure between Wickham Terrace and Turbot Street.
- Edward Street, closure of one of 4 south-eastbound lanes between Wickham Terrace and Turbot Street.
- Turbot Street, closure of one of 5 north-eastbound lanes between Albert Street and Edward Street.
Additional overnight lane closures will occur from 8pm to 5am throughout the works period:
- Turbot Street, closure of 2 of 5 north-eastbound lanes between Albert Street and Edward Street.
- Edward Street, closure of 2 of 4 south-eastbound lanes between Turbot Street and Ann Street.
Detours will be in place and traffic controllers and signage will be on site to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.
Motorists should allow extra travel time or consider an alternative route.
