Changed traffic conditions in George Street, Brisbane City
Traffic changes will be in place from 7pm Monday 7 September to 5am Tuesday 8 September 2026, on George Street, Brisbane City.
A full closure of George Street between Elizabeth Street and Burnett Lane will occur during this time due to crane works.
Further overnight closures are scheduled from 7pm to 5am on the following dates:
- Monday 14 September to Tuesday 15 September 2026
- Monday 21 September to Tuesday 22 September 2026
- Monday 28 September to Tuesday 29 September 2026.
George Street will be closed to all traffic between Elizabeth Street and Burnett Lane during these times.
Service and delivery vehicle access to Queen Street Mall via George Street will be maintained.
Traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.
