Discover a variety of free and fun things for you to do with your baby, grandbaby or toddler in Brisbane all year-round.

Mums and bubs classes

You can find baby-friendly yoga or babywearing fitness classes in selected Brisbane parks. These classes mix core, cardio, and strength exercises.

Make new friends and enjoy a cuppa afterwards at a nearby café.

First 5 Forever babies, books and rhymes

Pick up your library holds and stay to learn songs and action rhymes at our regular First 5 Forever babies, books and rhymes classes. Ideal for babies up to one year old, the classes nurture pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills. For toddlers there’s First 5 Forever toddler time.

For something outdoors, join First 5 Forever in the bamboo at Mt Coot-tha Library. After the class, take a walk through the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha to find a spot for a picnic morning tea.

Bush Babies

Bring your babies to Karawatha Forest for a morning of playing in nature at Bush Babies. These events are best for kids aged up to one year old. Parents, carers and babies can play, learn and make new friends while exploring the local bushland reserve.

Pram-friendly walks

Lace up your walking shoes and boost your step count on one of our pram-friendly walking trails. Stroll through the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha or City Botanic Gardens.

Park the car at New Farm Park, grab a coffee and take in the cityscape along the New Farm Riverwalk. Jump on board a CityCat in the city to return.

If you are on the northside, take a stroll along Sandgate Esplanade. Alternatively, if you're on the southside wander along the Wynnum Foreshore. Don’t forget to pack swimmers and towels to cool off in the Wynnum Wading Pool.

Parks and playgrounds

Meet for a mum-friend playdate at one of our more than 2,180 parks. Choose a local favourite or try a new park. Popular parks catch-ups with babies and toddlers include Ascot Park, Whites Hill Playground in Camp Hill, and Lockrose Street Park in Mitchelton.
