You can put out your items for kerbside collection the weekend before the scheduled start date. Note that items placed after 6am on the first day of the collection period may be missed.
Council only accepts heavy and large household items that do not fit in the wheelie bin. If you’re unsure if your item will be picked up by Council, see the list of acceptable and unacceptable items.
Illegal dumping fines may apply if items are placed on the kerbside outside the collection period.
Our kerbside collection service only accepts a limited number of items per residential address. Piles larger than 2 cubic metres (equal to a small box-trailer load) will not be collected.
If you have more material than this, you can dispose of these items at our resource recovery centres.
You can place any of the following items out for kerbside collection:
- bath and laundry tubs
- bicycles and sporting equipment
- carpet and rugs
- electronic waste (including televisions and computers)
- furniture and white goods (including fridges and stoves)
- small household appliances (including fans and toasters)
- wood products less than 1.5 metres.
