Prettiest Brisbane parks after dark

You don't have to stop exploring Brisbane when the sun goes down - that's when the city comes alive!

Brighten up your night out with a walk through Brisbane's prettiest parks.

Mowbray Park, East Brisbane

Nestled along the river in East Brisbane, Mowbray Park comes alive at night with five fig trees that have been carefully fitted with twinkling bud lighting. Mowbray Park's CityCat terminal means it's easier than ever to take in the beautiful tree lights and city views. Jump onboard a CityCat after work or on a weekend evening. Make time for dinner and plan a stop at Sushi Kotobuki, East Brisbane. Want to dine further afield? Catch a CityCat upstream to Howard Smith Wharves or downstream to Brisbane Powerhouse.

Orleigh Park, West End

Take in the beautiful twinkling tree lights at Orleigh Park as you walk along the river admiring views to St Lucia and Toowong. It's easy to get to this well-loved West End park by catching the Blue CityGlider bus service from Brisbane City or a CityCat to West End ferry terminal.

Walking along the river got you hungry? The perfect Italian dinner is only a few minutes’ walk away at Voglia

E. E. McCaskie Oval, Kelvin Grove

Just minutes from Brisbane CBD, the tree lights at E. E. McCaskie Oval in Kelvin Grove, offer a tranquil alternative to the fast-paced nightlife of the city. Once you've enjoyed the lights, be sure to explore the various food options at Newmarket Village, only a 5-minute bus ride away.

Windsor Memorial Park and Clark Park, Windsor

Lights highlight the heritage-listed commemorative war memorial pavilion and the nearby fig tree at Windsor Memorial Park. A short walk along Lutwyche Road will lead you to another illuminated fig tree at Clark Park. On your way, remember to check out the old Windsor Shire Council Chambers, the old electrical substation building and the old quarry at the Windsor Town Quarry Park.

Wynnum Wading Pool Park

Not only is Wynnum Wading Pool Park home to the Wynnum Wading Pool itself, it also features the perfect nighttime playground and picnic area. Two large trees are illuminated with bud lighting to create the perfect atmosphere for a dinner-time BBQ by the water.
