Recycling bins for businesses

Recycling at work is just as important as recycling at home. Your efforts help recover valuable resources and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Recycling for businesses is easier than you think with Brisbane City Council's business recycling service. This business recycling service provides:
- a weekly or fortnightly wheelie bin recycling collection
- a weekly bulk bin recycling collection
- the opportunity to recycle and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
The recycling service is offered on a user-pays basis with bin sizes ranging from 240 to 340 litre wheelie bin and 660 litre to 4.5 cubic metre bulk bins.
Apply for the recycling service
The business recycling service is voluntary and businesses must nominate or request to be part of the service.
Apply for the business recycling service online.
After businesses apply for this service a Council officer will assess the application and phone you to discuss the right bin to suit your needs. An onsite consultation with Council's business support program officer may be required before a service can be approved.
Cost of service
There is no start-up fee to join the recycling service. The weekly fee entitles the customer to one collection per week for each bin.
Types of recycling bins | Service fees inclusive of GST |
---|---|
240 litre | $6.60 per service |
340 litre | $9.20 per service |
Bulk bins 660 litres to 4.5 cubic metres | $20.60 per cubic metre per service |
Wheelie bins can be serviced weekly or fortnightly. Bulk bins must be serviced a minimum of once per week.
Invoices will be sent on a quarterly basis.
