About Brookfield Cemetery
Located directly opposite the Brookfield Showground, this cemetery was held in private trust before ownership was transferred to Council in 1930.
This historic cemetery includes burials from many established families and Chinese goldminers from the late 1800s.
Brookfield Cemetery is small, covering just over 1.6 hectares. It reflects changes in burial practices that occurred throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
