People's Choice Award - supported by Torn Parachute

The winner of the People’s Choice Award – supported by Torn Parachute is Shruthi.

Shruthi is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter. Shruthi’s main goal is for her audience to be captivated by her lyrics as well as her music. Each line has been written with deep rooted emotion so you can relate and feel connected to her music.

Innovation Award - supported by Dew Process

  • Public relations and marketing sessions by Dew Process
  • One session with a booking agent by Dew Process
  • Photography package by Torn Parachute
  • $500 cash prize

The winner of the Innovation Award – supported by Dew Process is Luatè.

Luatè is an emerging alternative pop singer/songwriter. A modern-day Nina Simone, Luatè creates highly emotive work carrying lyrics laden with viscous imagery.

Best Overall Performance - supported by The Tivoli

  • One support slot to a headline act at the Tivoli
  • One live show paid at the QMC by BEMAC
  • $500 Store DJ voucher

The winner of the Best Overall Performance – supported by The Tivoli is Evangie.

Channelling the ferocity of female fronted indie rockers like Jessy Day and Paramore an air of glittering nostalgia and charming honesty surrounds this indie-rock goddess Evangie.

Lord Mayor’s Live Event Award

  • A paid performance opportunity at one of Council’s major entertainment events

The winner of the Lord Mayor’s City Hall Concerts Award is Amarri.

If Doja Cat and Cardi B had a baby, you would get Amarri. She’s a young rapper and singer with a great sound that will get you moving.

The QUBE Effect is a music program that provides development opportunities for young emerging Brisbane artists.

As part of the 2021 program, the 21 shortlisted acts received mentoring from industry experts, had their original songs professionally filmed and had the chance to win prizes.
