Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants - Community Facility Category 2021-22 grant recipients (round one)
The following Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs – Community Facility Category – grant projects were approved for round one in 2021-2022.
Successful recipients receive funding to improve, develop and maintain community facilities. Funding is given for both the planning and design, and construction, phases of projects.
Eight organisations received funding for a total amount of $1,077,332.84.

Community Living Association Inc. | The project will improve an unused space by replacing the dilapidated downstairs kitchen and polish the worn downstairs floors. This will increase patronage and rental return, providing both employment for young people and funds for ongoing maintenance and improvements. | $43,900.00 |
Everton Park Bowls and Community Club Inc | Installation of a retractable shade cover over the synthetic green to support activities at the Everton Park Bowls Club and Community Club Inc. | $180,000.00 |
Karana Downs Pony Club Incorporated | The application is to submit a Development Application for the installation of two shipping containers as storage facilities. The project is to engage the services of a Town Planner who will complete and lodge the DA. | $12,152.80 |
Northey Street City Farm Association Inc. | Construction of a new stage roof, water tanks, screens and landscaping to support community gardeners and events at Northey Street City Farm Association Inc. | $186,040.00 |
