Lord Mayor's Better Suburbs Grants

Supports not-for-profit community organisations to deliver projects and activities across the city and to maintain, improve and develop community facilities.

The program has two categories: Community Support Category; and Community Facility Category

Community Support Category: up to $10,000

Community Facility Category: $10,000 to $200,000

Community Support Category: Open until funds are expended

Community Facility Category: Two rounds, closing 1 Nov 2021 and 28 Mar 2022

Housing Support Program Funds to community organisations for projects or services that respond to the housing and social needs of homeless people in Brisbane's inner north. $2000 to $10,000

Closes: 28 Mar 2022

Pathways out of Homelessness Grant Program The Program will enable new, innovative and sustainable solutions to address the growing community issue of homelessness. Up to a total of $450,000 over three years; or $20,000 to $200,000 for one year. Future date to be advised

Historical Organisations Assistance Grant Program Provides funding over three years to help cultural heritage and historical organisations to operate and maintain their facilities. $2000 to $10,000 per annum for three years Opens: 17 January 2022

Creative Sparks Grants Program Supports artists, arts workers and producers who live and work in Brisbane, to ensure the city develops as a New World City and centre of creative activity. Up to $10,000

Lord Mayor's Creative Fellowships Supports Brisbane artists, arts workers, cultural workers or creative producers wishing to develop and expand their careers in the arts or cultural sector. Up to $10,000 for individuals and $30,000 for organisations

Cultivating Community Gardens Grants Aims to enhance Brisbane's sustainability and liveability by providing funding to not-for-profit community organisations to establish, develop and maintain community gardens. $1000 to $2500

Native Wildlife Carers Grants Provides financial assistance to groups and individuals involved in rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing orphaned, sick and injured native wildlife originating from the Brisbane City Council area. $500 to $5000

Environment Grants Provides funding to not-for-profit organisations and groups to undertake environmental initiatives that address local or citywide community environmental issues.

Minimum $1000

Up to $8000 for operational and administrative expenses. Up to $20,000 for environmental projects.

Sustainability Grants Provides assistance to not-for-profit organisations to undertake actions to support the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of their facilities. $1000 to $10,000 Closed:
