The Lord Mayor's Senior Christmas Parties happen every year for seniors in Brisbane. They include snacks and entertainment at Brisbane City Hall.

About the Lord Mayor's Seniors Christmas Parties

The Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Parties are a yearly tradition. They invite seniors in Brisbane to celebrate the holiday season at Brisbane City Hall. 

This popular event has a new lineup each year. A variety of entertainers perform both traditional and modern Christmas songs. 

These events proudly support the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.

2025 Lord Mayor's Seniors Christmas Parties

Council will host 15 shows across 6 days with guests enjoying light refreshments prior to entertainment.

Program and show schedule

There will be a morning and afternoon show each day, with evening shows held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

3 shows will be signed by Auslan interpreters. We'll seat guests needing this service at tables closest to the stage to ensure good sightlines.

All tickets are $7.50 each.

A limited number of pre-sale tickets for all shows will be available to purchase online from 10am on Wednesday 1 October to 11.59pm Tuesday 14 October 2025

All remaining tickets will go on sale from 10am on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

You can purchase tickets via the Humantix website, by searching for 'lord mayor's seniors christmas parties'.

Book an auditorium or balcony seat.

Auditorium seating 

Tables will seat 10 guests with refreshments served at tables. Guests with a walking aid (i.e. wheelchair or walker) will be seated at auditorium tables.

Council does not allocate seating at tables and guests can sit anywhere at their table.

Balcony seating

Balcony seating will have catering at 10-person tables in the Sandgate and Sherwood rooms before each show.

Council does not allocate seating at tables and guests can sit anywhere at their table.

After refreshments, guests will move to the balcony, where they will find unallocated seating to view the performance.

Lift access is available to the balcony area, but guests must be able to walk to balcony seating.

Guests may bring a carer aged 18 years or over. You must purchase carer tickets with the guest ticket in the same transaction. 

One ticket price will be reimbursed by emailing Council the following details:

  • Companion Card number, name and expiry date
  • Humantix order number
  • guest ticket name.

For multiple carers, email Council and submit each carer's Companion Card details for reimbursement.

Transport options

Paid, underground parking is available at Council's King George Square Car Park.

The vehicle height limit for this car park is 1.93 metres. Guests with vehicles taller than this height can pay for parking at Wilson Parking's King George Central Car Park located nearby.

Drop-off zone

A pick-up and drop-off zone will be in place on King George Square with access via Ann Street. 

This zone allows only cars, taxis and minibuses and is exclusively for dropping off passengers to the event. It is a no standing zone and drivers are required to remain in their vehicle unless assisting passengers.

Free off-peak travel for seniors is available for eligible go card holders on Brisbane buses, CityCats and ferries.
