Brookfield Show

Get ready for the magic of Brookfield Show, Brisbane’s biggest little country event, returning in May. Packed with family fun, entertainment, workshops and competitions, the Show brings together the best of country tradition and modern creativity.

Celebrate classic Show favourites like Horticulture and Needle Craft, alongside crowd-pleasing modern events such as LEGO and the hilarious Hobby Horse competition, where locals canter, prance and even attempt “dressage” on their trusty wooden steeds. Wander through bustling trade stalls, enjoy delicious food, and take a step back in time at the Brookfield Museum.

There’s entertainment everywhere you turn, with magic shows, puppet performances, pig races, reptile displays and adorable baby animals. Enjoy performances from local school bands, talent quest stars and lively roving entertainers throughout the grounds.

When the sun goes down, the excitement ramps up. Feel the thrill of the Friday night rodeo, followed by live music. Saturday night also promises a fun night out with more live music. Fireworks will light up the sky’s both Saturday and Sunday evenings.
