Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Beethoven Sonatas.

Enjoy an extraordinary musical event featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Mark Hooper. With studies at the Queensland Conservatorium, London’s Royal College of Music, and The Banff Centre in Canada, Mark has graced the world’s most prestigious stages - including London’s Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room - during his 23 years in Oxford.

Mark’s artistry spans concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, Addinsell, and Tchaikovsky, as well as all of Bach’s concertos. He has collaborated with legendary musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin and Mitsuko Uchida, and recorded five solo CDs.

Returning to Brisbane after decades overseas, Mark brings his passion for performance and teaching to this special event. He will be joined by rising star Martin Sun (13), who made his solo recital debut last year and performed his first concerto with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra at just 11.

This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Evolution Productions.
