World Science Festival Brisbane 2026 is delighted to feature a pop-up activation as part of Brisbane City Council’s latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition AMPLIFY ME! featured on a Digital screen on Level 1 at the Queensland Museum. The Outdoor Gallery turns Brisbane’s laneways, streets and car parks into imaginative spaces for everyone. It showcases art in light boxes, banners, vitrines and evening projections. Brisbane City Council’s latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition AMPLIFY ME! is a celebration of local Brisbane artists with a lived experience of disability, showcasing their artwork in accessible outdoor spaces across the city. Grounded in inclusive arts practice, the exhibition promotes collaboration, barrier-free creativity and lasting connections, while encouraging inclusion and social change in Brisbane’s cultural landscape. Ella Doyle’s animation Teresa the Tasmanian Tiger (2024-25) can also be found at Howard Smith Wharves and Museum of Brisbane. By presenting the work in locations that blend heritage with contemporary culture, Doyle challenges traditional Thylacine representations and keeps its story alive. The series explores the intersection of scientific fact and folklore within our cultural memory. Ella Doyle is a Brisbane artist and advocate whose bold, colourful works explore popular culture, alternative music and the world’s natural mysteries. Guided by her ethos “I believe,” her practice spans digital and traditional media, advocacy and sensory design, supporting comfort, connection and inclusivity for those with diverse sensory needs. AMPLIFY ME! is curated by Nicole Crosswell and will be open from 21 November 2025 to 25 October 2026 in locations across Brisbane. For more information click here.
