Algester community street tree planting

Join us to help make Algester more attractive, cooler and walkable by planting trees at this fun family event. Meet your neighbours to plant trees in your local street and help grow our urban forest. Plant trees and celebrate the benefits they provide just ahead of Arbor Day on Tuesday, 14 October.  All new street trees are carefully chosen to suit the site and local area. All planting holes will be dug beforehand and all tools supplied.  As a thank you for participating you can enjoy a free sausage sizzle afterwards and take home a free native plant.

What to bring

• For your comfort and safety, wear sturdy covered shoes, a hat and sunscreen and your reusable water bottle.
