Bands in Parks: Voices - Celebrate International Women's Day

Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall.

Join Queensland Wind and Brass in a vibrant International Women’s Day concert celebrating women who create, lead and inspire through music.

Conducted by Alisa Jones, this uplifting program features the world premiere of a new work by acclaimed Australian composer Kara Williams, alongside much-loved favourites from Annie, Wicked and Disney, as well as evocative works including My Dearest Jane and Aurora Borealis. Bold, heartfelt and joyful, Voices honours women’s voices in all their strength and diversity, on stage, behind the scenes and in the stories that continue to shape us.

The concert is free but if you would like to sit and sip with a glass of wine and cheese plate, or enjoy afternoon tea and cake, then it’s just $10 per person.
