This annual event showcases local artist-illustrators whose work includes creating beautiful books for children. The participants will have illustrations, models and other art on display. Books will be available for purchase. Explore the exhibition. This year’s artists are: Gus Gordon Into the Bewilderness (Notable book 2026) ; Finding FrancoisSomewhere Else. His book book Herman and Rosie was chosen as the 2013 ‘Read for Australia’ book and won the 2013 CBCA ‘Honour Award’ for best picture book. For more information, visit the website. Jen Horn Juniper’s Painting (author Catherine Bauer); Skippy Blackfeet (author Rebecca Fraser) ; Where Are the Butterflies (author Lauren Tarrant). For more information, visit the website. Sarah Capon Grow Big Little Seed (author Bec Nayakkara) (shortlisted and winner CBCA New Illustrator 2025). Sarah illustrates using paper cut collage. For more information, visit the website. Monty Lee Tilly in a Tangle (author Margrete Lamond) (Notable book 2025); Grumpy Bear, Grouchy Bear (author Lyn Ward). Amongst her work are the illustrations for Songs to Edward LearTheo’s Princess and A Special Treat. It is a vending machine that you load with capsules that hold objects. Bookings

Opening night event on Friday 10 April - Bookings are required via Humanitix. All artists will be there. Free admission daily to the exhibition, no bookings required.
