Botanic art: Botanical inks

Delve into the world of wild ink! Explore the art and science of botanical inks in this hands-on workshop. Learn how plant tannins and pigments have been used in ink production throughout history, then use Australian and exotic botanicals to test ancient mark-making techniques, trying your hand at a little calligraphy and ink painting! This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community, dedicated to putting the plant back into Planet. Presented by the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha Education Team. No experience required. All materials provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
