Connect with Nature: Guided Forest Therapy

Join us for a guided Forest Therapy session and experience the benefits of slowing down in nature.

This small-group program offers a peaceful, accessible way to connect with Brisbane’s natural areas. Led by a qualified Forest Therapy guide, the session includes a series of simple sensory and mindfulness-based activities during a gentle walk through bushland trails. Throughout the experience, participants will be invited to engage with the natural environment through observation, personal reflection, and sensory awareness.

Forest Therapy has been shown to support wellbeing, reduce stress, and strengthen our connection to nature and community.

The session finishes with a shared tea ceremony, offering time for conversation and connection.

Requirements on the day:

• Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre
• Wear a hat and sun protection, fully enclosed walking shoes, an extra warm layer of clothing, a raincoat / umbrella if the weather is inclement and bring insect repellent
• No food outlets onsite so bring a snack if required
• Bring a water bottle and something to sit on (lightweight chair / towel / small mat) if required.

Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain. Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
