From the Ground Up is a 5 part workshop series on how to garden and grow plants sustainably. The methods and practices in the workshops are designed to restore and nurture the environment and to assist you in growing your garden harmoniously with nature. Each workshop is independent of the others and you do not need to attend them all.

The final workshop in this series is about designing your own edible plants food forest garden by incorporating layers of plants, selecting suitable beneficial plant combinations and using your garden’s aspect to form microclimates.

The practical activity we will mark out and design our 3m x 3m small food forest.

Requirements: Please wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a keep cup or water bottle. This workshop is available only to participants 16 years of age or over.

Location: Meet at the Kitchen in the Garden

This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the plant back into Planet.
