Gathering presents Toni Janke.

Join us for a special performance by Toni Janke, an award-winning First Nations singer-songwriter and proud descendant of the Wuthathi, Yadhaigana and Meriam peoples.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Toni has established herself as a respected performer, songwriter, cultural leader and advocate for First Nations artists. Her acclaimed body of work includes multiple independent music releases and appearances at major festivals and events across Australia. In recognition of her commitment to inclusion and cultural diversity, Toni was honoured with an Australian Women in Music Award.

Beyond her music career, Toni is the creator of Inheritance, a powerful music theatre work that weaves together storytelling and original songs to explore themes of identity, resilience and belonging. Following sold-out performances at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Kingston Butter Factory in Brisbane throughout April and May 2026, Inheritance is set to reach audiences across Australia through future touring programs.

Experience Toni’s captivating voice and original music at the Queen Street Mall Main Stage on Wednesday 7 October, from 12 noon to 1pm.
