Gathering presents Zhane. 

Zhane Osborne James is a proud Saibai Island woman of the Torres Strait Islands in Far North Queensland. She relocated to the mainland in Cairns and grew up around family, staying connected to the land, sea and waterways. She enjoys practicing Traditional customs and passing these on to future generations through the techniques of weaving, Traditional song and dance and having informative conversations around life as a Torres Strait Islander and the cultural practices that are involved. 

Take part in this free interactive weaving session by Zhane on Wednesday 1 July from 12 noon to 1pm at the Queen Street Mall stage.
