Danny Widdicombe and The Wandrin’ Stars unveil One Note at a Time, a rich collection of old-time country songs delivered with heart, grit, and understated virtuosity. One Note at a Time is the follow up to their single Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain, which pays homage to the great Willie Nelson.                                                                                     

A multi award-winning singer-songwriter, Danny brings together an all-star ensemble featuring Michel Rose on pedal steel, Luke ‘Fiddleboy’ Moller on fiddle, Brendan St Ledger on piano, Bos Borley on bass, and Doug Gallacher.

Across bleeding-heart ballads, wry humour, protest angst, and late-night philosophical musings, the album reveals a songwriter at the height of his powers. Danny’s career spans stages and studios alongside Bernard Fanning, Tim Rogers, Shane Nicholson, and even work on Baz Luhrmann’s film Elvis. Counting his releases with The Wilson Pickers, Trichotomy, and Ant Aggs, this marks his twelfth album - a culmination of a lifetime devoted to song. One Note at a Time captures an artist who understands that every great story begins, and endures, with a single note.
