Outdoor Gallery: Drop-In Drawing Session with the Outdoor Gallery Exhibition 'AMPLIFY ME!' Artists
Join the Outdoor Gallery Exhibition AMPLIFY ME! artists for a vibrant and creative catch-up in the lush Town Square of Fish Lane, as the space comes alive with art, conversation and sound.
This relaxed Drop-In and Draw session invites you to stay for 10 minutes or the whole time, pull up a chair and sketch alongside the artists as the city moves around you. They’ll share tips, prompts and insights into their drawing processes, creating a welcoming space for curious beginners and seasoned creatives alike.
Chat with the artists about the Outdoor Gallery and view Greg Chambers’ artwork nearby. You can also browse a curated selection of their art and merchandise, as the square transforms into a communal studio.
You may even be treated to the unforgettable sound of Duane Doyle’s didgeridoo echoing through the overpass, turning the gathering into a living, breathing artwork.
Council’s latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition AMPLIFY ME! is a celebration of local Brisbane artists with a lived experience of disability, showcasing their artwork in accessible outdoor spaces across the city. Grounded in inclusive arts practice, the exhibition encourages collaboration and barrier‑free creativity. It supports lasting connections, inclusion and social change across Brisbane’s cultural landscape.
AMPLIFY ME! is curated by Nicole Crosswell and will be open from 21 November 2025 to 25 October 2026.
Council's Outdoor Gallery turns Brisbane's laneways, streets and car parks into imaginative spaces for everyone. It showcases art in light boxes, banners, vitrines and evening projections.
Everyone is welcome.
