Join us for a free PlatypusWatch Walk & Talk as part of PlatyMonth this September! Proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.
PlatypusWatch Project Officer Dr Tamielle Brunt will talk about this amazing animal as well as the research happening in Brisbane. As you walk through known platypus habitat, Tamielle will talk about what keeps them happy in the waterways, local conservation efforts and how you can get involved with the ACF Platy-Project monitoring program.
Please note, there is no guarantee that platypuses will be present during the guided walk.
Suitable for ages 5 and up. All children to be accompanied by an adult.
Requirements: Please wear secure, fully enclosed walking shoes, and light-weight long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Please bring, insect repellent, drinking water, snack, and a raincoat if required. Please do not leave early unless it is an emergency.
Note: activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
