Join 4ZZZ Radio Presenter and Producer Elly Pashen in conversation with Youth Advocacy Service CEO, Katherine Hayes, Kalkadoon, Bwgcolman and Tjungundji youth advocate and leader, Naraja Clay, and Queensland Youth Parliament Members Joshua Golato and Verona Hilzinger, to hear their views on the impact of increasing restrictions on young people and the laws that are shaping their lives. Could these laws, intended to protect, be creating unintended harm?

When do we treat young people as capable decision-makers, and when do we restrict them? Does the erosion of young people’s rights lead to a diminished sense of responsibility? And how can families, practitioners, and policymakers better support young people to participate and to thrive?

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A.

Food and drinks available at Bar Alto.
