Join us for a free community screening and panel discussion to learn practical knowledge that could one day help you, your family, your friends, or someone in need.

Together, we can build a stronger and more compassionate community.

The Power Nadeshiko Women's Empowerment Project is a community-led initiative that empowers and educates culturally and linguistically diverse communities to address gender-based and domestic and family violence through multilingual educational resources and community engagement.

Discussion topics include:

  • mental health and domestic and family violence
  • postnatal depression
  • misogyny and gender-based discrimination
  • technology-facilitated abuse
  • coercive control laws
  • children living with trauma and intergenerational trauma
  • elder abuse
  • survivor stories.

Program:

  • 9.30am - Welcome and opening
  • 9.55–10.45am - Community screening
  • 10.45–11.35am - Panel discussion
  • 11.35–11.45am - Feedback and project updates
  • 11.45am–12.15pm - Networking and morning tea (complimentary).

Venue: Garden City Library, Meeting Room.
