Wood block printing is one of the earliest forms of printing and was a popular way to produce book illustrations until the middle of the 16th century, around the time of Shakespeare’s birth. Get into the swing of things in preparation for the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha's Shakespeare in the Gardens and use our wooden press to print a Tudor Rose, using watercolours to add a splash of colour!

Drop in any time from 10am-2pm. This event is suitable for 6-16 years.

Requirements: Wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a snack and keep cup or water bottle.

This workshop supports the Botanic Gardens' commitment to creating a plant loving community dedicated to putting the 'plant back into Planet'.

Location: Meet at the Auditorium Lawn.
