Breathe in the crisp Autumn air and flutter into a day of discovery! Explore the gardens and uncover the fascinating relationships between butterflies and their favourite plants.
Get creative—sketch or paint colourful native butterflies and their host plants, then take a wander along the Butterfly Plants Trail to learn who munches on what! Come play Poke-tanical – the plant and animal adventure game.
Drop in any time from 10am-2pm. This event is suitable for ages 4 - 16.
Pack a picnic, spread out on the lawn, and make it a full day of fun in nature.
Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult.
Location: Meet at the Temperate Lawn or follow the butterfly signs from the Visitor Information Centre.
Wear a hat and enclosed shoes; and bring a snack and keep cup or water bottle.
