Join us at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre this Science Week for an inspiring talk on efforts to protect the Tasmanian devil. Hear from a University of Sydney researcher about innovative work to help treat the devastating facial tumour disease affecting this iconic species.
The session includes a 20 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
Presented by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Innovations in Peptide and Protein Science.
About the Scientist:
Dr Andrea Schraven research integrates genome-wide and functional data to evaluate the impacts of conservation management interventions on threatened species. She specializes in conservation genetics and individual-based modelling to support decision-making for species in heterogeneous landscapes.
Parking and facilities: Free public carparking. Public toilets next to the environment centre.
