Silent Movie Under The Stars

Brisbane’s own Rusty Bauer — better known to many as the Trombone Dad in the viral “Oven Kid” videos — is bringing a touch of old-school movie magic to Musgrave Park on Friday, 12 December. Settle in under the stars for a free, family-friendly screening of Charlie Chaplin’s beloved silent classic The Kid from 1921. The fun kicks off at 7pm, with the film running for around 75 minutes — and in true 1920s style, Rusty will perform a live, original piano soundtrack in perfect sync with the action on screen. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and enjoy a nostalgic night at the movies!
