Simpson Falls BioBlitz
Join us for a fun and fascinating BioBlitz at Simpson Falls, where nature enthusiasts of all ages can help discover and record local wildlife. Spend the day exploring this beautiful bushland in Mt Coot-tha Reserve, using the free iNaturalist app to identify fungi, plants, insects, birds and more.
Your observations will contribute valuable data to real biodiversity research. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just curious about your local environment, this hands-on citizen science event is a great way for the whole family to connect with nature, don’t miss it!
Requirements on the day:
- Arrive 10 minutes before starting time to check in with staff at the Environment Centre.
- All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.
- Wear sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed shoes, and bring sunscreen.
- Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.
Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. Events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
