Now in its 16th year, the Walk for Awareness by the Mental Awareness Foundation brings together thousands of people to honour the 9 lives lost to suicide every day and to walk together for better mental health in Australia.

Every step on the Walk for Awareness is an opportunity to remember, reflect, and to help us achieve a fundraising goal of $150,000 for mental health programs.

So get your friends, family, work colleagues together and join us for a morning of connection, purpose and community as we walk towards better mental health – one step at a time.

Event information:

  • Activities and entertainment from 7.30am with the walk beginning at 8.30am
  • 5km or 9km walk through beautiful Brisbane. The route is family, wheelchair and pet friendly!
  • Registration is just $35, with kids 14 and under free!
  • All participants receive their very own Walk for Awareness T-Shirt with an option to buy a shirt for any children who are also walking
