Join Holly Neilson of Paper Hands, as she guides you through a beginner-friendly Watercolour Landscapes Workshop. Holly will teach you the fundamentals of painting with watercolour and how to design and paint a landscape artwork, using the beautiful Boondall Wetlands as your source of inspiration. Students will have the opportunity to walk around the wetlands and take some inspiration photographs before beginning their painting. The workshop will cover the following techniques:

  • Colour Theory and Mixing
  • Simple brush stroke techniques
  • ‘Wet on Wet’ and ‘Wet on Dry’ painting techniques
  • Sketching and Designing from a landscape perspective
Come and immerse yourself in a relaxing and friendly environment. Requirements:
  • Wear sun-safe clothing and secure, fully enclosed walking shoes.
  • Please bring a camera or phone capable of photography.
  • Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.
  • Please arrive 5 minutes early for sign-in.
  • All workshop materials are provided.
