Join a cosy morning of weaving at this small group experience for ages 15+ years with contemporary fibre artist Monique Ross. Take some time out for yourself, relax, and connect creatively with nature while learning weaving skills using raffia palm fibre. Suitable for beginners, all materials supplied. This workshop will take place indoors.
About the artist: Monique teaches from a contemporary craft perspective aligned with nature connection and mindfulness. Monique is not an Indigenous artist and does not teach or represent Indigenous cultural practices.
This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, send an email.
Requirements:
- Arrive 10 minutes early to register with staff.
- Hat, sun-smart clothing, enclosed shoes.
- Bring a cushion to sit on the carpet if you would like to use one.
- Bring sunscreen and insect repellent.
- Please BYO water and snacks as there are no food outlets on site.
