Winter Solstice Celebration

Join the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha Education Team for an enchanting celebration of the shortest day of the year. Bring the whole family and craft your own glowing lantern, a timeless symbol to help “welcome back” the sun after the long, dark night. As dusk settles, wander together on a gentle, early evening walk through the botanic gardens, where flickering lights and winter’s stillness create a truly magical atmosphere.

Requirements: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear warm clothes and covered walking shoes.

Location: Administration Lawn.
