The Winter Solstice Festival returns on Saturday, 28th June - a night of fire, community & connection under the stars! This year’s theme, Seeds for the Future, celebrates the wisdom of the past whilst sowing the seeds for an abundant, regenerative future. Just as the Winter Solstice marks the turning of the seasons, a seed holds the promise of new beginnings. Step into a world of connection and contemplation as we celebrate the longest night of the year! What to expect:

  • captivating workshops
  • permaculture & cooking demonstrations
  • ethical food & maker’s markets
  • live music
  • family friendly activities
  • a crackling bonfire
  • and our iconic lantern parade.
Workshops:
  • Prune Fruit Trees & Vines Like a Pro with Phil Dudman - Grow Your Food
  • Bush Tukka Talks & Tastings with Bruce Phillips - Murri Tukka
  • Cooking on Coals with Chef Chris Jordan - Three Little Birds
  • Nature Journalling with Bethan Burton - Journalling in Nature
  • Native Bees with Ian Driver - A Green Soul

*Workshops and program subject to change. Full program & more details (including live music lineup) will be released soon! To be first to know, follow Northey Street City Farm on our social media channels.  More details:
  • This is a zero-waste event. We encourage you to bring your own reusable mugs, cutlery and bowls, but some will be available on the night if you forget.
  • Bring a picnic blanket, your favourite people, and join us under the stars as we celebrate community, nature, and the days getting longer.
  • Discounted tickets available for those arriving with the Pedal Party or other form of Active Transport. Go green!
  • This is a family-friendly festival, and whilst we love our furry friends - unfortunately no dogs allowed.
