Woman, life, freedom - 4 years on

4 years ago, the death of Jina (Mahsa) Amini sparked the Woman, Life, Freedom movement across Iran and around the world. This evening brings the UQ and Brisbane community together to mark that anniversary in solidarity and remembrance.

Join us for an evening of documentary screening, live music and a photo exhibition, including a classical singing performance by Shirin Majd. Through art, performance and conversation, we explore resistance, identity and the power of storytelling - a chance to bear witness together, honour resistance and resilience, and hold space for reflection and hope.

Location: University of Queensland, GHD Auditorium. Free to attend, with a networking reception and light refreshments to follow. This event is supported by Cr Trina Massey (The Gabba Ward).
