Boggo Road precinct renewal strategy

Brisbane Metro and Cross River Rail will deliver a faster commute and attract investment and development to the Boggo Road precinct. Brisbane City Council has worked with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority to guide this investment via precinct renewal strategies to ensure new development brings more restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and entertainment as well as new parks, inspiring art and a safer and more relaxed walking and cycling experience.

The Boggo Road precinct is already home to the iconic Boggo Road Gaol alongside globally-recognised medical and scientific research institutions. The draft renewal strategy for the Boggo Road precinct capitalises on this beginning and provides strategies and actions to transform the precinct into a thriving international centre of health, science and education with revitalised heritage, new cafes, shops and plazas and improved cycling and walking access.
