Exhibition precinct renewal strategy

Brisbane Metro and Cross River Rail will deliver a faster commute and attract investment and development to the Exhibition precinct. Brisbane City Council has worked with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority to guide this investment via precinct renewal strategies to ensure new development brings more restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and entertainment as well as new parks, inspiring art and a safer and more relaxed walking and cycling experience.

The Exhibition precinct is home to world-class health and research facilities alongside the historic Brisbane Showgrounds and Old Museum and the new Victoria Park. The renewal strategy for the Exhibition precinct capitalises on these attributes and provides strategies and actions to transform the precinct into globally-significant health and research hub with new dining and shopping, vibrant new parks and revitalised heritage.
