Woolloongabba precinct renewal strategy
Brisbane Metro and Cross River Rail will deliver a faster commute and attract investment and development to the Woolloongabba precinct. Brisbane City Council has worked with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority to guide this investment via precinct renewal strategies to ensure new development brings more restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and entertainment as well as new parks, inspiring art and a safer and more relaxed walking and cycling experience.
The Woolloongabba precinct is home to The Gabba Stadium, significant health facilities and a rich local history. The renewal strategy capitalises on these attributes and provides strategies and actions to transform the precinct into a vibrant neighbourhood with more parks, a thriving high street, world-class events and easy cycling and walking options.
