Superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000

The Superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000 is a technical document more than 2000 pages long. Information within the document is divided into five chapters and five appendices.

Superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000 was prepared under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA). The IPA has since been superseded by the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.

Superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000 was in force as Brisbane’s Planning Scheme from October 2000 until it was replaced by Brisbane City Plan 2014. Brisbane City Plan 2014 has been prepared in accordance with the Queensland Planning Provisions (QPP) and the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, and came into effect on 30 June 2014.

The Sustainable Planning Act 2009 allows for assessment of a development proposal under the Superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000. A request to be assessed under the superseded plan must be made to Council within one year of the commencement of the Brisbane City Plan 2014.

Requests for assessment under the superseded Brisbane City Plan 2000 can no longer be made. Please refer to the Brisbane City Plan 2014.
