Richlands Community Centre

After purchasing the former Richlands State School site from the Queensland Government in 2011, Brisbane City Council has redeveloped the site to include two new community facilities:

  • Richlands Community Centre
  • south west depot of the State Emergency Service (SES).

The new SES Depot now services the south west region of Brisbane from one refurbished building and a new vehicle shed has been constructed to house SES vehicles.

The Richlands Community Centre was opened in October 2016 and is operated by the Kyabra Community Association and is open from 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. There are meeting rooms and an outdoor amphitheatre area for community activities available for hire at the centre during and outside normal opening hours.
