Richlands Community Centre

After purchasing the former Richlands State School site from the Queensland Government in 2011, Brisbane City Council redeveloped the site to include two community facilities:

  • Richlands Community Centre
  • State Emergency Service (SES) South Western Group.

The SES Depot services the south-west region of Brisbane from one refurbished building. A vehicle shed houses SES vehicles.

The Richlands Community Centre was opened in October 2016 and is operated by the Kyabra Community Association. It is open from 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. Community groups can hire meeting rooms and an outdoor amphitheatre area for meeting and events.
