About the project
After thoroughly assessing the playground area including equipment, the existing established heritage trees surrounding and conducting site investigations, Council has developed a draft improvement plan for playground upgrades that will meet the diverse needs of the community.
The upgrade proposes repairing or replacing old equipment (including spinners and rockers), as well as installing new equipment such as:
- a new bridge structure providing an accessible link between existing play features
- custom designed bathing boxes on a new boardwalk for interactive play
- sand workshop play facilities
- new play spaces under existing boardwalk and bridges
- new boulders with carvings and artworks for tactile play and informal seating.
