Outdoor activities

Brisbane City Council manages a variety of outdoor sporting and leisure facilities including sports complexes, swimming pools, water play areas, skate parks, bike paths, boat and canoe ramps, pontoons, fishing platforms, golf courses and tennis courts. Council also runs a wide range of recreation programs catering to different age groups and interests. 

Increased COVID-19 restrictions from 1am Tuesday 29 June 2021

Increased restrictions are in place for South East Queensland from 1am Tuesday 29 June. Find out more.

Due to restrictions announced by the State Government:

  • Public playgrounds, skate parks, BMX tracks, dog off-leash areas and outdoor gyms (including static exercise equipment) in Council parks are closed
  • Public barbeques such as barbeques in public spaces or shared facilities are closed.
