There are 20 places of interest on the Discover the Gabba’s Hidden Gems Heritage Trail. The trail begins at Stanley Street before moving along to the Mater Hospital Brisbane and the Princess Theatre. It then winds past the Merton Road cottages, passing The Gabba, then travels towards the Woolloongabba Baby Clinic located in the Logan Road precinct.

Some sections of this trail are steep and may not be accessible for those with limited mobility.

5.Phoenix Building647 Stanley StreetThe Phoenix Building, built in 1889-90, had a bookseller, tailor, bank and an undertaker as its first tenants.
6.MUIOOF Hall18 Merton RoadMUIOOF Hall was built in 1891 before being purchased by the Protestant Church in 1923.
7.Merton Road cottagesMerton RoadThe two timber cottages and timber duplex were constructed on Merton Road in 1885.
8.Holy Trinity Anglican Church68 Hawthorne StreetThe Holy Trinity Anglican Church is one of Queensland’s best examples of Italian Romanesque interwar architecture. It was built in 1930.

13.St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral344 Vulture StreetThe St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral was the first purpose-built Russian Orthodox church in Australia.

17.Fight talk placeCnr Stanley Street and Main Street‘Woolloongabba’ is believed to be an Aboriginal word meaning ‘fight talk place’.
18.Broadway Theatre18 Ipswich RoadThis was the site of the Broadway Theatre which was destroyed by fire in 1962.
19.‘Moral suasion’10-14 Logan RoadThe People’s Cash Store was built between 1889 and 1890.
