Seven Hills Hub

Seven Hills Hub, located at 28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills, is Brisbane City Council's newest creative precinct. 

From midday on 3 July 2020, the maximum capacity for the Jolly Centre will be 50 people, or 1 person per 2 square metres, whichever is lesser.

The Ron Hurley Centre will open from Saturday 4 July with a maximum 50% capacity.

Council immunisation clinics conducted from community halls will continue.

About the venue

This Council-managed community venue includes a 155-seat theatre, outdoor courtyard with an amphitheatre, workshop, studio and rehearsal spaces, with an adjoining local park (Griffith Place Park).

Seven Hills Hub is ideal for hosting:

  • performing arts and music performances
  • community events and activities
  • creative enterprise activities and workshops.

There are five designated spaces available for hire. It is also possible to hire the entire venue.

Jolly Centre rehearsal room

This room includes:

  • 46 square metre floor area
  • air conditioning
  • six-metre-long wall-to-wall mirror
  • adjoining kitchenette.

Jolly Centre studio

This space includes:

  • 48 square metre floor area
  • air conditioning
  • full black-out capabilities
  • white/green screens
  • adjoining kitchenette
  • audiovisual equipment.

Jolly Centre workshop space

This multi-functional space includes:

  • 147 square metres floor area
  • fully retractable entry way for open-air access to the outdoor courtyard
  • air conditioning
  • multiple configuration setup
  • adjoining kitchenette.

Outdoor courtyard and amphitheatre

This space includes:

  • 41 square metre stage
  • paved open-air courtyard
  • tiered amphitheatre, featuring the original landscaped amphitheatre designed by award-winning architect, Don Watson.

Ron Hurley Theatre

Disability access features include:

  • an accessible toilet (wheelchair accessible)
  • two accessible car parking spaces
  • continuous accessible path of travel from car park
  • four designated wheelchair seating spaces in the Ron Hurley Theatre
  • hearing loop in the Ron Hurley Theatre.


There are 68 onsite car parking spaces, including two wheelchair-accessible spaces.

The venue is located 18 minutes drive from Brisbane City at 28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills. You'll find the venue on the corner of Tallowwood Street and Griffith Place - turn into Clearview Urban Village, off Clearview Terrace.
